What is nice about Cedar Isalnd lake is that even though it is a public lake there are not many off lake people coming to the lake because of the small DNR access point.  So boat traffic is not heavy on the lake.  Yes it is a public all sports 169 acre lake with the deepest point being 72 feet deep.
