We believe that the extra boat traffic isn't horrible. I live on White Lake. We do get people from fishing tournaments on the lake and other boaters. On the other side of the coin a private lake is going to be more restrictive. You may not be able to put a friends boat on the lake for "the fire works show" or have them bring over a jet ski to go with you on the lake. There are rules you can't get around on some private lakes. So know the rules before you buy. We don't believe any of them are show stoppers, but they may be for you. We also don't believe that off lake people cause any more problems, or litter more. A litter bug is a litter bug. They will be tossing stuff off the boat whether they live on the lake or not. We have buyers that are adamant about buying only on a private lake.
