
Love water? Van Norman Lake homes have a gentle slope down to the lake. The terrain around the homes is not steep with stairs needed. There are even a few vacant properties/land on the lake. The one side of the lake is a nice subdivision with ranch, tri-levels and colonial homes. These brick homes were mostly built between 1965 -1979. They have basements, walkout garages and range in square footage between 1400-2400 square feet. The Van Norman Lake properties on this side have between 90' - 220' of lake frontage. It is a subdivision feel to this side of the lake with some space between the houses. You aren't jammed on top of one another like some lakes.

Home selling tips for lake houses When you are selling a home whether it is a Van Norman Lake house in Waterford or a home off the lake you have to think of yourself as a landlord. What I mean by is you want to prepare your lake home for sale.....You want to make it look as nice as possible but DO IT AS INEXPENSIVELY AS POSSIBLE. You do not want to spend a lot of money on fixing up your home. You want the biggest return on your dollar as possible. You want to walk away with as much money in your pocket as possible. The trick is to be smart. Let's say you should put granite in the kitchen. Granite counter tops come in many different grades. You want to put in the lowest grade/least expensive granite that you can. Granite that will still make the kitchen look great. It is the same with flooring. If you could use the same pad it would be the smart thing to do when putting in carpeting. Or buy the 6# pad versus the 8#.
