Bullard lake: Bullard Lakefront homes for sale. Half of the lake front is owned by one person and is undeveloped. So when you look out your window of your home most homes will be looking at trees and unspoiled natural area. There are about 40 -45 homes on the lake currently in 2011. The homes on the lake are mostly ranch style homes and some colonials. The homes were mainly built in the 1960's to late 70's though there are a few later ones. The square footage of the ranch homes are 1400 -2000 square feet. The square footage of the colonials range from 1800 -2600 square feet. Most Bullard Lake properties have 80' - 120' of lake frontage and are less than 1/4 to 1/2 acre in size. Though there are at least 3 homes on the lake that sit on 3, 4 1/12, or 6 acres.

Dunham Lake: Here is some general information about Dunham Lake in Hartland Mi. Some buyers prefer private lakes over a public lake. They believe that a non-lake resident will be more aggravating than a person on the lake. They believe a lake resident will care about the lake better. One thing you need to know is that the sheriff will be patrolling the lake more often on a public lake than a private lake. You may not see a sheriff boat on a small private lake ever. Whether the lake is private or public it does not affect the lake homes values. I have never seen a noticeable price difference.

Handy Lake:The lake is a low traffic boat lake. Because it is a private lake you are not going to get weekenders that do not live on the lake coming out to boat and jet ski. So you are not going to have boat after boat going by or having to worry about getting run over by a boat.The lake bottom is mucky. So many Handy Lakefront homes are going to be mucky out front. But the neighborhood association beach is sandy. I have heard some other homeowners have made their lake bottom sandy too. Many homeowners just swim out further in the lake off the boat or at the association beach.
