If you love Milford like the rest of us do you may want to live in a lake home near Milford. There are several lakes in Milford. Some of them are man made lakes. The two oldest lakes in Milford are Sears Lake and Moore Lake. Moore Lake is just north of downtown. The waterfront homes on Moore lake remind me of an up north area. There are many mature trees and some of the lake homes sit on a small hillside above the lake. When a lake home sits on a hillside it usually has spectacular views.
Both Moore and Sears Lake homes are a mixed bag. There are a few new homes on the lakes but some of them are 1950's or older. Some of the lakefront houses were built in the 1970's and 1980's.
Where you will find lakefront homes in Milford that are newer and bigger is in Milford Lakes subdivision. They are not big all sports lakes, but they are nice to swim in, kayak, and take a small boat around. These lakes are in newer subdivisions that have big brick colonials that range over 2500 square feet. The little lakes are an added benefit to the subdivision.

The Village of Milford which is the area around the downtown area and then the surround Milford Township. The downtown area is one of the biggest draws to the area. Downtown Milford is a historic downtown area that is full of boutique shops, bakeries, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. It is not a huge downtown area. It is only about 3 or 4 blocks in length. Some of the homes in the area date back to the early 1800's. You will find some very beautiful Victorian homes around the downtown area. Many home buyers want to live in the downtown area so they can walk downtown.
Milford lakes
Many of these lakes are man made lakes and are smaller. Mill Pond is right down town and is really a wide part of the Huron River that formed a small lake.
