If we would give you one short sentence about houses on Lower Straits Lake in Commerce we would say "higher end lakefront houses". Yes there are still some cottage style homes on the lake, but the whole south side of the lake are bigger, larger colonial and Contemporary homes that have been built after the 1980's.The south side of the lake is a subdivision with large mature trees and paved roads. There are not many lake homes on the east side of the lake because Union Lake Road is right there. So you will have some road noise depending on where you live on the lake.
Lower Straits Lake is a small private all sports lake. It is great for a lake home buyer that does not want a large congested lake. If you are a person that would get bored going around in a circle then this lake would not be for you.
