Woodhull Lake connects to Lake Oakland There is a bridge at Sashabaw Rd. The children that live on the lake either go to Clarkston or Waterford schools depending on where they live on the lake.

We have been out there in October where somebody was out there skiing on the lake. Lake Oakland does have public access, so we would say boating traffic on the weekend would be heavy on both lakes.

Woodhull Lakefront properties are tighter together. This is an "old cottage" lake. The lakefront properties are mainly 40' - 75' frontage. A 115' lake front is big for the lake.
There are many 1920's ranch style homes that are under 1200 square feet. Many of them have been updated and remodeled. They have become year round homes instead of weekend cottages for many people.. Woodhull Lake home styles are a mixed bag:
- bungalows ( a few of them)
- cape cods
- colonial style homes
- ranches (the majority of homes)
Most of Woodhull Lake homes are under 3000 square feet. We would say the majority of them are under 2000 square feet.
There are a few Woodhull Lake access homes.
In the last 3 years there have been 7 Woodhull Lakefront homes sold. The least expensive one sold in the last 3 years (from 9/2011) was sold in Jan 2011. It was a lake foreclosure that sat right on busy Sashabaw Rd. I took clients through it and it needed major work.
The Woodhull Lake foreclosure was a 1950's ranch, 4 bed, 2 bath and 1576 square foot that sold for $85,000. I don't know if I would have paid that. Though the sunsets from the home would have been beautiful.
The most expensive home that sold in the same time period was a 2588 square foot contemporary home, built in 2006, 3 bedroom, 3 bathrooms, 3 car garage, with finished walkout basement. That waterfront home sold for $365,000.

I am one of those people that just love to be on or near the water so I may have a biased attitude. I am one of those people that go on vacation to a sunny spot and will not eat indoors. I want to be on a deck overlooking the water. That is they type of person I am. In 2014 I am 56 years old and still water skiing and knee boarding. I would do so many other water sports too I still want to learn how to barefoot water ski and how to wakeboard. (You are only as young as you feel)
I love living on the lake. I like hearing the geese in the early morning hours. In the fall I love to see the mist rising off the lake. I love everything about the lakes. It is a great life style. To me I love driving my friends and families kids around the lake on a tube. To see the kids laughing and having fun is great.
There is so much about the lake life style that you will love. The barbeques, the family gathering on the lake are great fun. That is what life is about. Having fun and enjoying life to the fullest. Instead of living in Rochester, Livonia, or West Bloomfield in a subdivision and going somewhere on the weekend to have fun........You have the option to live on the lake and have fun in your back yard. Your friends, your family will want to come out and visit you.
