It was named for the Dunleavy family which developed the adjoining residential subdivision

Dunleavy Lakefront homes for sale. About 20 homes sit on the lake. Most of the waterfront homes are 1000-1500 square foot, though there are some that are as big as 2000 square feet.

There is one home that sits betweeen Huff and Dunleavy and has lake frontage on both of them.  There have been no homes sold on Dunleavy Lake in the last three years as of 10/2011.

Dunleavy Lake is located in  Highland Twp Oakland County MI. It is north of M59, south of N Milford and west of Harvey Lake Rd.

Dunleavy is the small lake to the left of Leonard Lake on the map below.

There are a few lakes that are right close together there.  They are Huff Lake, Leonard Lake, and Upper Pettibone Lake.
