Taggett Lake Highland Twp information

Taggert Lake itself s not very big and is connected to Kellogg Lake by canal.  If you want a lot of space to ski, wakeboard, or jet ski Taggert Lake may not be the lake for you.  It is really just a small round lake.  You would be doing circles to ski.  But if you want a quiet, low traffic all sports lake with large lots then Taggert Lake is an Oakland County Lake you want to visit. The lake is more of a pontoon lake with a small area to ski.

The lake was named for Abram C. Taggett who purchased land adjoining the lake in 1836.  Because of its shallow depth this lake will partially dry in a hot summer.

Taggett Lake real estate Oakland County MI

Taggett Lakefront homes for sale has good sized homes up to 2000 square feet.  The subdivision has paved roads. The lake has about 12 -20 homes that sit on it. There are no small cottages. There are some big colonials on the lake. Taggett Lake home styles are:

• cape cods
• colonial style homes
• ranches
• split levels

This is one of the large Taggett Lake homes on the lake.  Not all the lake homes are that size. 

Here are the only two Taggett Lake homes that sold between 11/2008 - 10/31/2011.

I looked at a Taggert Lake canal front foreclosure in 9/2011.  It was a home that needed a lot of outside work and was about a $100 a square foot.  At the time I thought it was a nice lake home for the price.

Unlike many Oakland County MI Lakes there are some wider lots and spaces between the homes on Taggert Lake Highland Township Michigan.  I would guess the average lot size is 80 foot and larger.
