Bloomfield Twp MI four all sports lakes are: Island Lake, Upper Long Lake, Lower Long Lake, and Square Lake.
The Charter Township of Bloomfield is home to 41,000 people. 95% of the township is residential. Many of township homes are what many people consider luxury homes.
You will not find many old 1920's 800 square foot ranch cottages on the township lakes anymore. Bloomfield Township lakefront properties and real estate were mainly built after the 1950's. Over the years all the older properties have been torn down and large beautiful lakefront luxury homes have been built.
There are four public school systems in the township - they are primarily Bloomfield Hills and Birmingham, and also Avondale and Pontiac - serve residents of the Township, as well as several excellent private and parochial schools.

Most Southeastern Michigan lakes have a wide variety of homes. Remember that the expansion of Metro Detroit started in the early 1900's. Detroiters started coming out to Oakland and Livingston County lakes in the 1920's. There were little one - three bedroom cottages ranging from 500 to 1000 square feet. Detroiter's came out there to get away from the city life. The majority of the lake homes were just cottages during this period.
The affluent Detroiter built some bigger estate homes. Back then an estate size home may have been 2000 square feet or more. There are still a few of them standing on different lakes.
So you will still find on some of the lakes little lake cottages. Some have been remodeled, some need to be torn down. Some of them have been added onto. They have gone up. Some have had several additions. Porches were enclosed and made part of the house. Over the years bungalows, ranches, colonials, split levels, tudors were built too. Before the 1970's I would say most of the homes that were built ranged from a 1000 -2000 square feet most of the time.
I am speaking in generalities. Of course there are some that were bigger in those periods, but that is what the majority of the home sizes are. That is what the lake home styles are like in metro Detroit. Most lakes have a wide variety of lake home styles.

"Russ was a great realtor! When I had a question he was very responsive. He took me out when I had the time and he always called me with an hour of talking to him. I didn't know what I really wanted but he helped me find what I needed. I would recommend him highly to find your next home too. My parents rave about how he made their home sale so easy too!"

"Russ Ravary went above and beyond in handling the listing and sale of our property. It was a very tiny lot and there was very little money to be made, but you would never have known that from his service. He showed up when he said he would, made inquiries on our behalf, and followed up with us on a regular basis. I can only imagine how happy his customers must be who are shopping for a home. I wish that he worked in the Fenton area because I would absolutely refer him to everyone I know. I highly recommend him."
