Kellogg Lake is the bigger lake of the two lakes that you would rather waterski on or tube on.  I honestly don't know if you can take a power boat or pontoon boat from one lake to the other. (I believe you can)   If you know would you send me an email as I would love to update this information.  My email is yesmyrealtor@gmail.com

One of the best things about buying a waterfront home in Southeastern Michigan is the ease of getting to your lake property any time of the week.  No 3, 4, or 5 hour drives up north to relax.  No worrying about what is happening to the lake property and being able to get there to fix the problem.  When you buy a lakefront house in Southeastern Michigan the time factor is huge.  You can run over to the house after work, or you can skip work and be at your lakefront getaway in less than hours.  You could be on the pontoon watching the sunset with a cold drink in your hand.  The kids could be swimming in just a short ride.  That is what is great about buying a waterfront property in Oakland County.

On this page you will find great information about waterfront real estate on Kellogg lake in Highalnd Michigan.  Just browse through the website and you will find all sorts on info on all sports lakes, size, and depths of the local lakes in Oakland, and Livingston County.  Search "Michigan Waterfront Homes For Sale”

I would consider Kellogg Lake of more of a laid back lake more suitable for pontoon boats, kayaks, row boats, and canoes.  But don't let me discourage you if you want to live on the lake and still own a power boat.

There are many Oakland County Lakes that are under 80 acres yet are all-sports lakes.  Residents on those lakes love their lake and their ability to ski, tube, or just take a pontoon ride.

  • All sports lake                     Yes

If you have any information about the lake such as the size, the depth, all sports or not, source of the water (is it spring fed?), fishing, or the homes on the lake shoot me an email.  I would greatly appreciate any information you can share.  Or if you have some great photos of the lake or a sunset I would love to put them on the website.  Thanks in advance.  My email is yesmyrealtor@gmail.com

Kellogg Lake real estate Oakland County MI

Many local realtors tag the lake real estate as Taggert - Kellogg lakes so it is sometimes hard to seperate which homes are on which lake.

Kellogg Lake homes Highland MI

Kellogg Lakefront homes for sale. Homes from Mallards Landing are on one side of the lake.  Most of those brick homes range from 2000 -2400 square feet,  They are ranches, contemporary, and cape cod style homes with 2 & 3 car garages.  They were built between 1988 -1991. Children that live on the lake attend Huron Valley Schools.

On the other side of the lake the waterfront homes are vinyl homes that are 1900 - 2700 square foot in size.  They are mainly colonials and were built between 1993 -1997.  What is nice is that the Kellogg Lake properties range from 2 to 4 acres on this side of the lake!

Running over somebody with a boat can cause death and major damage if they are hit by the propeller of the boat.  Here is how to prevent your prop on your boat from striking anybody

Turn off the engine when passengers are boarding or disembarking. Propellers should not be spinning when a passenger is in a vulnerable situation.

Prevent passengers from being thrown overboard accidentally.

  • Never start a boat with the engine in gear.
  • Never ride on a seat back, gunwale, transom, or bow.
  • Make sure all passengers are seated properly before getting underway. Some operators cause injuries by putting the engine in gear while people are still swimming or diving from the boat.
  • Assign a responsible adult to watch any children in the boat and sound the alarm if a child falls overboard.

Always, Always lookout for tubers that have fallen off, skiers that are down, and people swimming in the water. The primary cause of propeller strike accidents is operator inattention or carelessness.

  • Slow down when approaching congested areas and anchorages. In congested areas, always be alert for swimmers and divers.
  • Learn to recognize warning buoys that mark swimming and other hazardous areas.
  • Keep the boat away from marked swimming and diving areas. Become familiar with the red flag with a white diagonal stripe and the blue-and-white “Alfa” flag—both signal that divers are down.

Fishing

  • Blue Gill
  • Crappie
  • Northern Pike
  • Smallmouth Bass
  • Largemouth Bass
  • Yellow perch

Here is what a previous client had to say about me!

"Dear Mr. Ravary,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your support, guidance and knowledge towards the purchase of my first home.  You were very kind, friendly and patient during the whole process.  The good thing I like about you is that you have never pushed us to buy any home, but walked with us and gave us yr honest opinion about homes we visited.  You had never rushed into make a decision but gave us a time to make the decision wisely during the whole process.  You made me familiar and explained with some of the real-estate terms and that helped me a lot during the whole process.  Even after the home purchased, I know I can still count you for any help towards my home.  I would definitely recommend you to my friends/family for their future home purchase!"
