The lake names that I know of are Spring Hill Lake, Teal Lake, Stone Ridge Lake, and Parkshore Lake. The 6 small lakes total 115 acres. The lakes are not all sport but do allow electric motor pontoon boats on a few of the bigger lakes (Parkshore, Teal, and Stone Ridge). The lakes were made when gravel, rocks, and sand were hauled out of a gravel pit.
Stonewater subdivision is a carefully planned community with 11 association parks, gazebos, walking trails, and even a trout stream! This isn't a cookie cutter subdivision where every home looks the same. There were many different builders so there are many different styles and elevations of homes. This is one of Northville's premier subdivisions that so many people want to own a home in.
The children that live on the lake go to Northville schools. Northville schools are consistently ranked as some of Michigan's best schools.

Stonewater Lakefront homes are mainly colonials. The sizes of the homes are 3000 square feet to about 5700 square feet. The subdivision was started in 1999 and they have been steadily building since. There are still some open lakefront lots available, but not many (in 2011).
The waterfront homes are the premium lots in the sub and have these common characteristics:
The lots are not real wide because the developer wanted the maximum amount of homes on the lakes. Most of Stonewater Lake properties are 95' to 100' wide. Some have up to 200 foot of lake frontage.
There have been no homes sold between January & November 2012 on the lake.
Here are the lakefront homes that have sold in 2011.

Stonewater Lake Location
Stonewater Lake is located in Northville Township Wayne County MI. It is north 6 Mile Rd, south of 7 Mile Rd, west of Beck Rd and east of Ridge Rd.
Stonewater Lake Fishing is only catch and release.
At what age do you have to buy a fishing license and when do you not need a license. You must purchase a fishing license if you are 17 years of age or older and plan on fishing in Michigan's inland lakes. Individuals under the age of 17 may fish without a license. Regardless of age, everyone is required to observe all fishing rules and regulations at all times. All annual fishing licenses are valid from March 1st of a given year through March 31st of the following year.
Fishing license dollars fund a variety of activities including; fish management work on the state's waters, habitat rehabilitation and protection, fish stocking, information distribution, education and outreach efforts to anglers and the public, and much more. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources' Fisheries Division does not receive any general fund tax dollars to support its activities. Instead, Fisheries Division depends heavily on angler dollars collected through fishing license sales and federal excise tax dollars from the sale of fishing tackle (Dingell-Johnson Sport Fish Restoration Act) to manage Michigan's fisheries. Buying a fishing license, even if you do not plan to go fishing, can make a big difference to the future health of Michigan's prized freshwaters.
The money spent on fishing license does help our local lakes. For more information on the difference fishermen make by purchasing licenses, visit www.michigan.gov/itsyournature.

Russ Ravary your Northville Lakefront real estate specialist
Here is what a previous client said about me!
My husband and I chose Russ to be our real estate agent after a friend highly recommended him. We were moving here from Canada and only had a few days to look at homes. When we came in to town, Russ went far above the call of duty. He had thoroughly planned our 2 days and had numerous homes lined up for us to view. After talking to us briefly and asking us a few questions before our arrival, he new exactly what types of homes would be ideal for us. After searching for a short time he found the perfect home for us.
After the sale, Russ even met our painters, carpet cleaners and home inspector at our new home since we were still out of town. He also gave us detailed lists of available utility companies, schools, cable services, cleaning companies, house cleaners, fun things to do and wonderful restaurants in the area. Russ made the entire experience enjoyable and easy. He has a laid back, genuine personality and my entire family felt comfortable with him immediately. He feels like a friend not just our real estate agent.
I would HIGHLY recommend Russ to anyone with complete confidence.
