There are the old 700 square foot ranches up to a 2800 square foot colonial.  There are quite a few brick ranches with walkouts.  Most of the homes are well below 2000 square feet.  If you are looking for a high end fancy smancy lake Carroll Lake isn't it.  It is just a small lake with nice average sized homes on it!

Carroll Lake properties range from 60' to 200' of lake frontage.  Again most of them are under 100' of lake frontage.  There are no huge lots.  The largest one on the lake is 1.75 acres.  (I'm guessing from past MLS listings)

Carroll Lake Location

Carroll Lake is located in Commerce Township Oakland County MI.  It is south of Cooley Lake Rd and east of Carroll Lake Rd . Carroll Lake is to the west of Long Lake.

As you can see there are quite a few lakes within a few miles of Carroll Lake Commerce Township in Oakland County MI.  Some of them are Fox Lake, Round Lake, Mandon Lake, Sugden Lake, Cedar Island Lake, Long Lake, Union Lake, and Cooley Lake. 

There are very few lakes in Southeastern Michigan that have a bar or restaurant on them.  Union Lake has the Matter of Taste restaurant on it.  Walled Lake has Bayside Restaurant on it.  White Lake has the White Lake Inn on it.  These are just some of the lakes that have a bar and restaurant on it.  There are not many lakes that do.  Years ago there used to be more, but many have burnt down or closed.  They tore them down to make way for homes.

So how does a bar or restaurant affect the price of a lake home?  Again there is no specific dollar amount that you can add on for the restaurant on the lake feature.  It is a bonus to have a bar or restaurant on the lake.  But to say it adds dollars to your home, it really does not.  It just makes the lake a little more desirable and fun.  It is nice to go for a boat ride and be able to stop for quick meal if you do not feel like cooking.  Or if you want a cocktail it is always nice to stop and visit with people from the lake.
