Cass Lake is Oakland County’s largest lake at 1280 acres.  It is a public all sports lake so it is going to be busy on weekends and the holidays.  I would say it is one of Oakland Counties most prestigious lakes with many luxury lake front estates.  You are not going to find a small lake cottage on Cass Lake for $200,000.  They are tearing houses down on the bigger lots to build luxury lake homes.  So homes sell at a premium on the lake.  In 2024 you will find more homes starting at $400,000.

Cass Lake was a glacial formed lake so it does have a deep hole in it that is 123 feet deep.  Cass lake does have a small state park on it and a marina.    It is illegal to operate a boat over 50 miles an hour on the lake.  It is a decent inland lake for sailing when the lake is not overrun by speed boats and waverunners.  It is posible to sail 3/4 mile course in most directions.
