Cooley Lake in Oakland County is a long narrow lake.  You are still going to find many small cottages left on the lake.  Many of them are used as year round homes.  Yes there are quite a few homes that range from 1700 square feet up to 3900.  Most of the lake is on well and septic, though a few homes have sewer and sewer is in front of the houses.  Some of the lake lots are very small and some of the lakefront is mucky.  So you really have to look at surveys and the lake frontage.
