Blaine Lakefront homes for sale.  From what I saw there is only about 15 -20 homes on the lake. 

South side of the lake

  There are mostly cottage style homes on the south side of the lake on Bitten Rd (gravel road).   Some of them look like they are not year round homes. Some of them look like they are place for the owner to go on the weekend.   But there are a few homes that range up to 2000 square feet that look more like year round homes on the street.  Many of the homes were built in the 1950's.  The lake frontage on the south side of the lake ranges from 50' to 200' with some of the lakefront properties ranging up to an acre in size.

West side of the lake

It is different on the west side of the lake on Mystic Meadows (paved rd). This is part of Meadow View subdivision.  The homes range from 3000- 4000 square feet on the lake.  They are newer brick colonials that were built in the 2000's.  There are still some vacant lots as of 2011.

North side of the lake

On the north side of the lake there is a big estate home with acreage and some large lake frontage.

There has been no homes sold between January & November 2012 on the lake.

So many Michiganders pack up the car each weekend to drive three to five hours to get to their lake cottage.  They may be driving to Houghton Lake, Higgins Lake, Opal Lake, or Torch Lake to name a few of the many beautiful lakes up north.  They head up on Friday fighting the traffic on I-75 or 23 or 27.  To skip fighting the traffic they will either take off another day early or come back on Tuesday.

 Blaine Lake is a small lake that is mostly in Hartland MI, but part of it is also in Brighton Township. There are some pontoons on the lake. The roads around the south side of the lake are gravel.   The lake is near old US-23.  It's nice because it is just a short ride up to M-59 to jump on the expressway. The children on the lake go to Hartland Schools.

Blaine Lake is located in Hartland Township Livingston County MI and part of it is in Brighton..  It is south of M-59/Highland Rd and Bergin Rd, west of Old US 23, and to the east of Hacker Rd .
