Brendel Lakefront homes for sale. The real estate on the lake varies. Brendel Lake isn't what I would call a pretentious or upper end lake. Many of the homes were built in the 1920 -1960's. many of them are smaller cottages.

Brendel Lake does have a neighborhood association that has a small park and beach access for some homes that are not on the lake. There is no DNR public access or no public beach.
Brendel Lake is a relatively narrow lake with 5 bays that are finger like. It isn't a large lake but it is big enough to ski on. One of the residents told me it was a quiet lake. Brendel Lake feeds to Mud Lake and Lake Neva.
Brendel Lake is part of the Huron River chain so it is fed by the Huron River.

Brendel Lake is large enough to ski, tube, and wakeboard on. Like most Oakland County MI Lakes there are not a lot of wide open spaces or privacy. The homes are not widely spaced apart.

When you buy a lake home we always recommend for you to get a survey. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO SO. I have a cottage on White Lake and have seen a few battles between home owners over the lot lines. Twice I have seen where the owners were completely surprised that they did not own the land they were fighting over. If you have a staked survey you will not have any surprises.
If you are buying a waterfront property look up the property lines at the county or the community the home is in. We have seen lakefront homes sold that were not really lake front. They had a subdivision or community access in front of them. We have seen lot lines that angle. Where the owners thought they owned a perfect rectangle instead it was an rectangle at an angle.
It is better to get a staked survey so there are not property disputes with neighbors. On White Lake in White Lake Township there was a home sold years ago as a lakefront home. It became a law suit when the owners found out that the neighbors actually owned the lakefront in front of their home. They ended up letting the home go back to the bank.
We have seen several lake homes listed this year that were not actually lake front. They had a lake view but they did not actually own to the lake. It is up to you the buyer to do the research to make sure of that.
