Lower Pettibone Lake Highland Twp. Michigan
On one side of the lake is state owned land (Highland Recreation area). Through the state park is a public DNR launch that allows 15 people to park. I would describe the lake as a long narrow lake. Some of the lakefront homes sit up on a hillside, but others are at lake level. There are still many smaller older ranch style cottages. Some of them are used as year round homes. These ranch homes range from 800 square feet to over 1400 square feet.

There are bigger homes but we do not believe that any of them are much larger than 2500 square foot. So this is not a high end exclusive lake where you are going to find mega mansions. This is going to be a quieter lake with limited boat traffic too. What is really nice about the lake is that it is a very short drive to Milford. You can enjoy all the restaurants and conveniences of downtown Milford with less than a 5 minute ride.
Some of Lower Pettibone lakefront homes sit up on a hillside and other parts of the lake the homes are level with the lake. There are about 65 lakefront homes on the lake. There is also a railroad track nearby so you may hear a train now and then.

The lake is fed upstream by Bass Lake and Pickerel Lake. Lower Pettibone Lake water then flows down to Moore Lake and then feeds Milford's mill pond.
