Tommys Lakefront homes. There are 4-5 newer big brick colonial homes on the east side of the lake on the Boy Scout side of the lake. These bigger homes that were built a few years back get as big as 4400 square feet. They are typical of the big colonials that were built in any sub. They have first floor laundries, large walk-in closets, grand foyers, great rooms, and kitchens with plenty of cabinets.

On the west side of the lake there are older 800 square foot homes up to some newer 3000+ square foot homes. Tommy's Lake homes are similar to many of Oakland County's lakes. There are old cottages from 700 square feet built in the 1920's to bigger newer colonials built in the 2000's. Old cottages are right next to contemporary homes built in the 1980's.

There is was an old Boy Scout camp on the east side of the lake that is now a township park.. The roads around the lake are gravel. The children that live on the lake go to Lake Orion Schools.

Every weekend Detroiter pack up the car each to drive three, four, five hours to get to their lake.
