The biggest lakes in the township are White Lake which has the White Lake Inn on it, Pontiac Lake which has a large state park (and Quake on the Lake power boat races in July on it) and Oxbow Lake which has Spraders on the Lake on it.

White Lake Township has five public school districts: Clarkston, Holly, Huron Valley, Walled Lake and Waterford.
