Back before 1990 it an open layout concept was rare. For the kitchen to have large windows and a good view of the lake was also rare. Even many master bedrooms prior to 1990 did not have large windows with lake views. What buyers and home owners want has changed over the years. From simple 2 bedroom cottages with no garage or basements to today's large 3000 and 4000 square foot homes with walkout basements and multiple car garages.
